CCGs
There are six Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) which cover North Yorkshire. CCGs are health administration boundaries. In North Yorkshire their boundaries are not coterminous with the county boundary or with district council boundaries and three of the CCGs include large areas outside the county. The Cumbria CCG in particular covers an area which is predominantly outside the county, with only a small proportion within North Yorkshire.
The mid-year population estimates produced by the Office for National Statistics relate to the entire CCG boundaries, including the parts outside North Yorkshire. To make the figures on this page more relevant to a North Yorkshire audience we have used a best-fit of the Lower Super Output Area (LSOA) population estimates to the county boundary to produce North Yorkshire part CCG estimates.
